Stephen Mitchell

Stephen has been in the market access industry for 12 years, where he specialises in systematic and targeted literature reviews. Skilled in all areas of the literature review process, Stephen’s forte lies in the intellectual planning and design of projects and strategic input to final deliverables in line with changing customer requirements.

Stephen has contributed to both standalone SRs – many of which have led to journal or conference publication – as well as those designed to support health technology assessment submissions. As such, Stephen is familiar with identifying and critiquing clinical, cost-effectiveness, quality of life and healthcare resource use and costing evidence, and the requirements of global health technology assessment agencies. Stephen has been responsible for the delivery of consistently high-quality systematic reviews across a range of diverse therapeutic areas, including several oncology indications, Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes and venous thromboembolism.

Previously, Stephen worked within a newly formed systematic review department for an established market access consultancy, and over 11 years helped grow the SR team to a headcount of 12 and led the team for four years.

Stephen has a PhD in radiobiology from University College, London and spent five years pursuing postgraduate studies at Columbia University, New York, before returning to the UK to pursue a career in market access.
