Andy has been working in the market access and value communication arena for 15 years, specialising in written communication pieces, providing expertise in their intellectual design and development, review and critique, quality assurance and strategic direction.
Andy has worked across numerous value communication pieces helping clients to achieve their commercial goals, including health technology assessments for the UK and Ireland, global value dossiers, value stories, iPad tools, and local market access materials, such as advanced planning notifications, formulary packs and payer leave pieces. Andy recognises the challenges of presenting complex clinical, economic and statistical analyses, and robust value arguments, across varying audiences and platforms, and can adapt his style accordingly to the needs of the piece. In a previous role, Andy co-managed a team of up to 14 medical writers, with responsibility for internal training, as well as quality assurance, intellectual design and strategic direction across a range of deliverables.
Over his career, Andy has provided market access support to the majority of the top 25 pharmaceutical companies as well the medical device industry, across numerous therapeutic areas including virology, oncology, ophthalmology, endocrinology, musculoskeletal and rare diseases.
Andy has a PhD in enzyme biochemistry from the University of Southampton and spent four years as a postdoctoral researcher, before launching his career in market access.
